Lockapalooza!
The Lock 32 Whitewater Course will hold its Fifth Annual Lockapalooza on Saturday August
8th and Sunday August 9th. Last year's event was a smashing success with over 50 participants, over 800 spectators and many generous sponsors. This year we'll make the party even bigger and better by adding a second day of clinics and events.
About the Course
The Lock 32 Whitewater Park has a set of squirt lines, two waves and two holes. Both holes enable lots of vertical moves and is really easy to cartwheel in. The top hole gives up humongous loops (front flips). Best of all, we have consistent water all summer long.

About our Organization
For those of you who don't know, the Genesee Waterways Center runs the park and teaches kayaking, canoeing, rowing, sculling, outrigger canoeing and other forms of human powered watersports. Our main goal is to get people out on the water, especially people who might not otherwise have an opportunity. We have programs for inner city kids, disabled folks and everyone else. This festival goes a long way in helping us provide kayaking eductation to many a diverse range of folks. Lockapalooza is one of several fundraisers throughout the year, along with the Rochester Paddling Film Festival and National Paddling Film Festival Roadshow.
